The Bennington Museum's Education Department develops school tours and
classroom presentations that support history and art education in public and
private schools, as well as coordinates and presents special events such as
family programs, lectures, and a musical concert series. School programs serve
nearly 7,500 students annually in Vermont, eastern New York, and northwestern
Massachusetts.
The department works in close collaboration with classroom teachers to provide
educational services that are not only engaging and fun, but
educationally sound and in support of new states' learning standards.
The Education Department is happy to work with individual teachers in
developing thematic tours which utilize our collections to relate to individual
teachers' classroom curricula. To arrange a tour for your students, or to
receive a brochure listing our education programming, contact the museum,
802-447-1571, extension 18, weekdays.
